PREVIEW OUR RESIDENTIAL WORK
SHORT-TERM RENTAL
Interior Remodel + Furniture and Decor Styling
Sioux Falls, SD
OVERVIEW
This 2,200-square-foot residential project began as an interior remodel focused on elevating a builder-grade home into a more refined, neutral-inspired space. The scope later expanded to include full furniture and décor styling when the home was transitioned into a short-term rental.
WHAT WE DID
Studio 616 led the interior design, material selections, and overall aesthetic direction for the remodel. After the remodel, we furnished and styled the home from top to bottom, selecting furniture, décor, and accessories to create a welcoming, high-end rental experience.
RESULTS
The finished home offers a polished, thoughtfully designed interior that feels both comfortable and elevated, demonstrating how intentional design and cohesive styling can transform a standard residence into a standout short-term rental.
KING BAR
Lower Level Bar Build-out
Sioux Falls, SD
OVERVIEW
The King Bar project transformed an underutilized lower-level wet bar into a central gathering space within the home. The original layout included a small bank of cabinets with a sink and counter, but lacked seating, storage, and the presence of a true entertaining area.
WHAT WE DID
Studio 616 worked with the existing layout to accommodate seating and improved function and aesthetics of the bar. The design incorporated new custom shelving for bottle storage and new Cambria quartz countertops to elevate both durability and aesthetics, creating a polished focal point within the lower level.
RESULTS
The bar is now the heart of the home, naturally drawing people in during holidays and gatherings, and shifting the main social hub from the kitchen to the lower level.
THE TWIN GABLE HOUSE
Concept for Black Hills, SD
OVERVIEW
This home was designed for a client considering a modern retreat in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The design focuses on simple gabled forms, natural materials, and expansive windows to connect the home with its surrounding landscape.
WHAT WE DID
We developed a conceptual architectural design to explore the home’s form, layout, and overall character. The concept features two asymmetrical gabled volumes connected by expansive glass walls to maximize natural light and views.
RESULTS
The concept gave the client a clear vision for the home and how it could fit within the Black Hills setting, helping them evaluate the design direction before moving into full design and construction.
