Studio 616 began in 2023 with a simple idea: create a better experience for businesses needing design services. Founded by Whitney Donohue who is both an architect and interior designer, the studio was born out of the desire to combine creativity with clarity. To design not just spaces, but a process that feels approachable, collaborative, and tailored to each client.
From day one, the focus has been on helping professionals create spaces that truly work for them, their employees, and their business. We know that your space reflects your brand, your values, and the people who walk through the door every day.

WHITNEY DONOHUE, AIA
My journey to founding Studio 616 began with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from South Dakota State University, followed by a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota.
Over the years, I’ve gained invaluable experience working at three architecture firms, where I contributed to projects across a variety of design sectors, including multi-family, healthcare, education, corporate, and more.
This diverse background, combined with my dual expertise in architecture and interior design, equips me to approach every project with a comprehensive and creative perspective. When I'm not working, you can find me doing projects around the house and spending time with my family doing anything we can outdoors.
