COUTURE STUDIO

OVERVIEW
Couture Studio is a new 17,000-square-foot luxury flooring store on Veteran’s Parkway in northeast Sioux Falls. The building features a spacious showroom, six offices, a 4,000-square-foot warehouse, two tenant suites, and supporting spaces—all designed to create a bright, welcoming environment that reflects the brand’s high-end offerings.
WHAT WE DID
Studio 616 led the design and construction coordination for the project, from permitting through completion. The team focused on maximizing natural light and ceiling height to highlight the products while maintaining a refined, functional layout for staff and customers.
RESULTS
The finished space showcases Couture Studio’s products beautifully and reinforces its reputation as a premier destination for luxury flooring in Sioux Falls.
PLAZA AZTECA
Mexican Restaurant
Sioux Falls, SD

OVERVIEW
Plaza Azteca is a 5,800 SF restaurant located on the east side of Sioux Falls at 26th Street and Veterans Parkway. The layout features a spacious waiting area, dining room, bar with additional seating, casino, kitchen, and support spaces designed for efficient flow and a comfortable guest experience.
WHAT WE DID
Studio 616 refined and enhanced the design based on other existing Plaza Azteca locations, tailoring the layout and finishes to better meet operational needs while maintaining the brand’s signature aesthetic.
RESULTS
The result is a bright, inviting restaurant environment that elevates the Mexican dining experience and supports smooth day-to-day operations.
BUTLER MACHINERY

OVERVIEW
Butler Machinery’s Sioux Falls location underwent an 8,700-square-foot interior renovation to modernize its second-floor offices, locker rooms, and restrooms. The goal was to create more functional, efficient spaces while ensuring compliance with current building codes.
WHAT WE DID
Studio 616 collaborated with Butler Machinery, the contractor, and the city of Sioux Falls to address code requirements and streamline the design process. Working within Butler Machinery’s established finish standards, the team created cohesive, updated spaces that feel consistent with the company’s brand across all locations.
RESULTS
The renovation delivers a refreshed, code-compliant environment that enhances functionality and reinforces Butler Machinery’s strong, unified brand identity.
CLIMATE SYSTEMS

The 10,000 SF Climate Systems interior office remodel is designed to support growth and modernize the workspace. The renovation focuses on creating an open, collaborative environment with meeting rooms, a phone room, and enhanced natural light throughout.
WHAT WE DID
Studio 616 has led the design and coordination from concept through construction, working closely with the owner, contractor, furniture suppliers, and other trades. The team focused on updating finishes, optimizing layouts for collaboration, and maximizing daylight to create a bright, functional space.
RESULTS
The remodel will deliver a modern, flexible office that supports collaboration, growth, and a more enjoyable work environment.
STRIP MALL CONCEPT DESIGNS
Conceptual
OVERVIEW
This strip mall concept design explored two potential layouts for a roughly 10,400-square-foot retail development. The designs aimed to balance modern aesthetics with flexibility, allowing a variety of businesses to occupy the space.
WHAT WE DID
Studio 616 developed two distinct exterior design options, each modern and neutral to let individual tenants stand out. Conceptual finish selections, including materials like white metal panel and gray brick, were incorporated to showcase potential looks and textures.
RESULTS
The concepts demonstrate how thoughtful design can create a cohesive, contemporary strip mall that highlights tenant spaces while maintaining a timeless overall appearance.
